Waiting for Daylight and Decent Wind

Like mentioned yesterday, the Black Edge was ready to be bridled. So guess what I just completed!

With an hour or so on my hands this afternoon, I found the required stash to bridle the Black Edge and got to it; bridle line, a Stanley knife, and a ruler.

But before I got into cutting lines, I reverted to the Wind Vale and took exact measures of its bridle. My goal was to replicate that bridle and add a couple of adjustments I thought could improve the bridle based on my flying if the Wind Vale.

This bridle is a slightly active one where the legs can move a little and are a little bit tighter than a standard setup bridle. With this active bridle I feel more connected to the kite regardless of both it’s position in the wind window and it’s flying position.

…or to put it short… This bridle makes the kite more fun to fly! ?

So here are a few photos from the bridling process.

The pieces of bridle line is measured and cut
Each bridle leg is connected to the kite using pigtails. This makes both adjustments and replacements easy as pie!

Like said, now I only have to await daylight and some decent wind!

Stay tuned for the first flight report!
