I wanted to add a wind vane for stabilising the KAP rig picavet. And so I did!

I have a feeling such a wind vane could add some stability to the rig while flying so decided to build one for my little KAP project.

I dived into the “box of scraps” and found a suitable piece of stiff plastic sheet, nice! Then a few cable strips, a carbon rod (also from the “box of scraps”) and an APA connector. Ready to tweak!

I cut out a nice shape from the piece of plastic and strapped it onto the carbon rod using the cable strips. Then I used the APA connector as a “washer” with the opening facing backwards.

I put some electrical tape onto the en of the carbon rod and squeezed it into the connector.

VOILÀ!

Now it looks like this!
