Yeah I had to take it down for some time and close the backdoor that someone had opened. 😠

Yes, we are talking hacked. Someone had found a backdoor to the site and decided to … play around a bit. I found out yesterday and immediately shut the site down and started to clean up things.

Despite my safety precautions someone did find an unlocked door and got inside, but after some hours of work behind the scenes, I think things are back to normal. According to the Wordfence plugin no vulnerabilities are found and all files and stuff are clean. Hopefully all is fine now, but I’ll be spending a few more hours tweaking security. This will probably not include down time, so let’s cross our fingers!

And finally, if you should – even though it’s unlikely – come upon something that looks suspicious, please drop me a line so I can address it!

It should all be nice and clean by now!
The plugins that need an update are set on hold by me. I never update anything automatically, but wait for the updates to have … settled down! 😉
