So what to do? Everything was set up, the kite up in the air, the camera mounted in its rig. What could be a useful Plan B?
Got it!
I could always attach my mobile phone to the rig and hope for the best. No remote controlling today, but hopefully – if I managed to set the phone camera angle right – the footage could be useful.
So away with the camera and the mobile phone fit snuggly into its position, I put the self-timer to a two minutes delay, hit ‘record’ and hoisted the lot high up into the air.
Did it work?
