Flying in the Golden

Here's a little video of flying my yellow vented QLK in the golden hour of the day.

I really like my self made (with a little help from Anders Matson) yellow vented quad lined kite. It’s no fuss, plain and simple, no fancy sail pattern, standard bridling and it flies like … great!

Back in March 2011, four of the AERIALIS Team Flyers gathered for a workshop building four such kites. One blue, one ref, one green and mine, in yellow. A few weeks later we met for a quick fly at Ekeberg in Oslo, Norway … and until the Danish Quad Kite Clinic in 2017, I barely pulled that kite out of its bag.

Nowadays however, the Yellow is my to-go kite when the wind picks up and becomes a little too much for my semi venteds. After adjusting the bridle somewhat a couple of years ago, the Yellow now is a really good kite which I love to fly.

When conditions are like yesterday, with steady onshore winds in the kite’s lower wind range, it really shines and flying is sooo smooooth!

Ahhhh! I just LOVE IT! ????
